Research

Projects include the following:

Developing an evidence base for effective quality assurance

A review of how medical education (and education more widely) is quality assured by regulatory bodies.  Research methods include an academic literature review and in-depth interviews with key people in a range of UK and overseas regulatory bodies.  The aim is to develop a robust evidence base for effective quality assurance (General Medical Council, October 2011 to February 2012)

Survey of self-directed support planning

Design and delivery of a survey to identify organisations, groups and individuals who are considering delivering support planning.  This was part of a project to enable greater choice and control for people in receipt of social care through self-directed support (Sheffield City Council, 2011).

Research into management practice

Analysis of outcomes from the "The European Manager" project, a survey of middle and senior managers across five European countries (Chartered Management Institute, 2006).

Skills Foresight report

A report on the findings of labour market research for the Justice sector in England and Wales (Skills for Justice, 2005).
